Cyber Scouts Natasha Malik and Sidra Arshad led a specialized cybersecurity awareness seminar for the students of the Vocational Training Institute (VTI), Bahawalpur, as part of the CSOP (CSR mission of CS Zone Pvt. Limited). This session served as a practical demonstration of the Cyber Scouts program’s peer-to-peer empowerment model, where trained volunteers take the lead in educating their local communities. By translating technical security concepts into actionable advice for vocational students, the seminar strengthened the regional network of informed technology users and underscored the vital role of youth leadership in building a safer digital Pakistan

Purpose

The seminar aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of safe digital practices while enabling Cyber Scouts to actively perform their role as community educators and digital safety ambassadors.

Topics Covered

Students received guidance on key cyber safety areas, including:

  • Safe internet usage and identifying unsafe links

  • Protecting personal information and securing online accounts

  • Recognizing online harassment and understanding reporting mechanisms

  • Responsible digital communication and ethical online behavior

Impact

The seminar improved students’ awareness of common online risks and encouraged the adoption of safer and more responsible digital habits. It also demonstrated the practical impact of Cyber Scout training, as Scouts successfully extended cyber security awareness at the grassroots level.
