Cybersecurity expert Muhammad Asad Ul Rehman, alongside former Additional Director General of FIA Syed Ammar Hussain Jaffery, emphasized the necessity for police officers to receive modern technology training during a session held at the DPO office in Rahim Yar Khan. He highlighted the challenges faced by police officers due to a lack of awareness about modern technology, which makes investigations difficult and time-consuming, especially when criminals employ advanced technological methods. By providing training on modern technology, police officers can overcome these challenges more efficiently and complete investigations in a shorter time. He appreciated the proposal by Additional IG South Punjab Captain (Retd) Zafar Iqbal to align the police with modern technology, stressing the urgent need for such training across the country. He further explained how criminals could easily steal information and data by gaining access to our mobiles and computers. Thus, while tracking criminals in cyberspace, it’s crucial first to ensure the protection of one’s data and information. The training session was attended by Fahad Iqbal, Adnan Buksh, Hafiz Jawad, Ayesha Razzaq, DSPs, SHOs, and other police officers from the Rahim Yar Khan district.
